Overview

We are a registered entity that is registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF), the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the South African Private Ambulance & Emergency Services Association (SAPAESA).

All our paramedics and medical staff are qualified and registered to render the required services to the college. We have a team of medical practitioners that keep up to date with the latest clinical guidelines and training in emergency care.

As part of our Emergency Medical Services, we deploy a mobile stocked-up ambulance and qualified medical professionals to cover sports and events’ medical-related injuries.

Emergency medical attention and evacuations at events is of utmost importance. We offer onsite ambulance and paramedic services that provide urgent pre-hospital treatment to the injured.

An immediate response to a life threatening condition, such as cardiac or respiratory arrest

A response to a serious condition, such as stroke or chest pain, which may require rapid assessment and/or urgent transport

A response to an urgent problem, such as an uncomplicated diabetic issue, which requires treatment and transport to an acute setting

A non-urgent problem, such as stable clinical cases, which requires transportation to a hospital ward or clinic

Blood Type

Knowing your blood type could save your life. In case of an emergency, physical victims may have to receive a sudden blood transfusion and most individuals, unless they belong to a universal blood group, may only be transfused with blood from matching blood groups types.

Allergies

During an emergency, some individuals may require rapid administration of medicines to remedy a minor or life-threatening situation. Knowing your allergies may be of critical importance as it may avert a reaction that could complicate the provision emergency aid.

Medications

Some prescription medications may interact negatively with others, leading to harmful side effects and complications. Mentioning or stating your current prescription drug on your Medical ID card may come in handy in an emergency situation.

Apart from blood type, allergy and medication information. A medical ID card may contain additional helpful information such as age, weight, height, family contact details and more

NB: *Medical ID helps paramedics access your critical medical information in an emergency. You can have it as a printed card or set it up on your phone lock screen.
